Accessible financial services for the visually impaired
Visually impaired people all over the world struggle to perform daily tasks and access the products and services many of us take for granted in our everyday lives. Basic financial transactions are a key part of this. From opening a bank account, to making money transfers and paying bills, the visually impaired have traditionally struggled to do these things independently.
At Papara, financial inclusion is at the very core of what we do. We want to ensure that every single user, regardless of economic background, age, or disability, has equal ease of access to all the services we offer. Our primary focus is to provide a platform where each and every user can make financial transactions independently, and to offer them the best possible user experience whilst doing so.
To that end, we’ve partnered with BlindLook, the organisation at the forefront of developing freedom technologies so that 285 million visually impaired people around the world can participate in daily life without any barriers, to make Papara accessible to the visually impaired.
Through BlindLook’s voice-oriented technology, visually impaired Papara users will be able to perform all their financial transactions safely and comfortably through the Papara app and website, all without any external help. Thanks to our partnership with BlindLook we’ve become a blind-friendly brand. BlindLook also presented EyeBrand symbol for bringing financial freedom to the visually impaired.
This is a huge milestone for us and one that goes far beyond the digital innovation behind making our app and website audio enabled.
By liberating the visually impaired from traditional obstacles they face, and paving the way for them to enter the digital finance world, we are one step closer to achieving our mission of providing financial freedom and equality for all.
